About Us

Our Story

In August 2025, Tekton Discipleship opened its first home in Columbia, Tennessee—a seven-bedroom house designed to disciple 7–14 young men. This was more than the start of a program; it was the fulfillment of a dream God had planted years earlier in Phillip Ward’s heart: to raise up men who would love Jesus wholeheartedly, live disciplined lives, cherish their families and communities, and be equipped with trades that allow them to provide and serve.

Spiritual Formation

Guiding men to know Jesus deeply, study God’s Word daily, and measure their lives against the standard of Christ.

Personal Maturity

Forming men who take responsibility for their mind, body, and soul—stewarding their finances, relationships, and calling.

Practical Skills

Equipping men with vocational skills to prepare them for a lifetime of provision and service.

We see this home as a new model of what God desires to do—a first step toward a broader vision of transformation. Our hope is to expand, multiplying homes where more men’s lives can be changed.

Our Mission

To see men become whole through discipleship that equips them to be leaders in their faith, homes, and communities—helping them grow in love for Jesus, develop personal discipline, and gain vocational skills that will serve them for life.

Our Vision

We envision a growing network of discipleship homes with trade-based training across the country. Each will raise up a new generation of men who live with integrity, work with excellence, and carry the love of Jesus into every sphere of society. One key area where we feel called is serving young men aging out of the foster care system, offering them hope, family, and a future.

Meet the Board

Phillip Ward

Phillip Ward is a man who carries the Father’s heart in everything he does. His passion is to see young men discover their identity in Christ while gaining the skills to lead well and provide for their families.

From a young age, Phillip developed practical talents in carpentry, masonry, welding, and other trades. Over the years, he became a skilled craftsman and business leader, even working his way up to Mechanical Superintendent in Alaska’s oil fields, overseeing 90 employees and managing major projects.

Phillip’s ministry story began early, serving in his family’s inner-city outreach in Arkansas. Though he faced seasons of personal hardship, the Lord restored him, deepened his faith, and gave him a vision: to merge discipleship with hands-on trade training. His years serving with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), including pioneering trade schools in missions contexts like Nigeria, prepared him to bring that vision home to Tennessee through Tekton Discipleship.

Amy Ward

Amy Ward is a seasoned missionary, teacher, and leader with Youth With A Mission since 2008. She is the co-founder of the YWAM ministry Fire & Fragrance and has served in leadership roles in Kona, Hawaii, and other YWAM bases worldwide. Known for her prophetic teaching and deep love for Jesus, Amy carries a mother’s heart that brings alignment, encouragement, and healing to those she serves.

Amy has ministered globally, equipping believers in intimacy with God, the fear of the Lord, and the life of the Spirit. Alongside Phillip, she has opened her home and her heart to young men in the Tekton program, bringing both spiritual depth and practical hospitality to the ministry.

Justin Clark is a devoted husband to Rachel Clark and a proud father of three daughters—Lily, Daisy, and Poppy. He and his family reside in Spring Hill, Tennessee, where they are deeply rooted in their local community. Before being led to Spring Hill, Justin was closely connected with Crazy Love and We Are Church, experiences that deeply shaped his walk with Christ and his passion for authentic discipleship.

Justin currently serves on the board of Tekton Discipleship, where he invests his time and heart into equipping others to grow in their faith. He has a profound love for the mere enjoyment of the Lord and carries a deep desire to help others see the surpassing worth of a life surrendered to Christ. Through his personal walk and ministry involvement, Justin strives to point people toward the beauty, freedom, and joy found in knowing and following Jesus.

Ryan Rogers

Ryan is passionate about discipleship, mentorship, and creating spaces where men from all backgrounds can encounter Christ and develop life skills. He believes Tekton Discipleship’s mission uniquely combines the Gospel with practical training—equipping students with both spiritual formation and trade skills that can change the trajectory of their lives.

Professionally, Ryan has spent his career in construction, real estate, and business leadership. He is the owner of Triumph Roofing, a Franklin-based company specializing in insurance restoration and residential roofing, and has also served in various roles across commercial and residential development. His experience has given him a deep appreciation for the value of skilled trades and the opportunities they create for personal growth and provision.

Ryan has been following Christ since 1989 and received a heart and vision for missions in 2000. He went on to spend seven years serving full-time with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and the University of the Nations in Kona, Hawaii, where he helped lead outreach and discipleship efforts around the world.
He and his wife, Rosie, are raising their four daughters in Franklin and remain committed to faith, family, and serving their community. They are active members of Church of the City in Franklin, Tennessee.

Jordan Corral

Lives in Culleoka, TN with his wife McKenzie and two sons named Levi and Shepherd. Together, they are focused on raising their boys to be men who love Jesus, serve those around them, and glorify God with the work of their hands. Their ministry experience began when God called them to sell their home, leave their jobs, and move to Hawaii to take part in Youth With a Mission.

Years ago, the Lord implanted something in Jordan’s heart; teach boys to be Godly men who are equipped with skills that help them provide for their families and serve those around them. After God called them to Tennessee, they were introduced to Philip Ward who shockingly shared the same vision. Together with Tekton Discipleship, Jordan and McKenzie have their hearts set on restoring God’s vision for the family by creating men who will lead their family well.

Professionally, Jordan has served as a carpenter, Assistant Project Manager for a large commercial contractor, home remodeling business owner, and now Foreman for Tekton Trades. Jordan received his Construction Management Degree from CSU Chico and is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity degree from Faith International University.

Looking Ahead

The Columbia home is just the beginning. As we disciple and train the men here, we are laying the foundation for a flagship missional trade school—a model we believe can be replicated in communities across the nation and around the world.

Our prayer is that every young man who comes through Tekton Discipleship will leave rooted in Christ, equipped for life, and ready to build both the Kingdom of God and a secure future for his family.
